For this, Milone Nurseries designed and built a micropropagation laboratory with an innovative system designed to combine quality, quantity and sustainability.
The high quality level of the plants produced by Milone Nurseries, recognized in Italy and abroad, often makes it complex and expensive to find suitable propagation material.From this need comes the decision to make the company self-sufficient already in the initial stages of nursery processes, through the creation of an in-house micropropagation laboratory.
Micropropagation is an advanced technique that makes it possible to obtain a large number of plants in a short time and in limited space, from selected and controlled material.This method makes it possible to ensure uniformity, health and genetic quality, which are fundamental elements of modern and reliable nursery production.
Milone Nurseries' micropropagation laboratory does not just apply established techniques, but introduces innovative solutions inspired by agronomic, economic and environmental sustainability.Each step of the process is designed to improve production efficiency, reduce operating costs and optimize energy consumption.
Several varieties of fig, kiwi and blackberry are available.
We produce hedge plants such as viburnum, photinia and cerasus laurel.
We micropropagate several citrus rootstocks such as C22, C35 and C57.
We produce stone fruit rootstocks such as GF677 and Mirabolano 29C.
